Have questions about our programs?
Yes. Upon successful completion of LAC, you'll receive a Certificate of Completion from Brown University School of Professional Studies.
Yes. LAC includes hands-on practice through demonstrations and small-group exercises, helping you build confidence in applying coaching skills and structuring a coach-like conversation it also includes small-group coaching practice with your cohort members, where you'll both practice coaching and receive coaching yourself as part of the learning process.
ACT offers four core solutions for organizations: Leader As Coach, for leaders at all levels who want to develop more coach-like skills; Team Effectiveness Acceleration, for teams that need to reset and strengthen their foundation; Coaching Certification (Level 1 & 2), for individuals who want to become ICF-credentialed coaches; and Team Coaching / LEAP Coaching, for organizations that already have coaches and want to support their continued growth.
Leader As Coach is designed for managers and leaders at all levels within an organization who want to bring a coaching mindset into their everyday leadership. Participants learn practical coaching skills: how to ask better questions, listen more deeply, and bring out the best in the people around them. It's less about becoming a professional coach and more about leading in a way that develops others and strengthens the organization as a whole.
Yes. LAC hosts periodic virtual information sessions as well as masterclasses where you can learn more before enrolling.
No. LAC sessions are highly interactive and experiential rather than lecture-based. You'll observe live coaching demonstrations, participate in role play, and work in small breakout groups — with a mix of trainer-led content, group discussion, coaching practice, and reflection time throughout.
You will receive a list of recommended hotels in the area and you may request the Brown University rate.
Many employers offer tuition assistance or professional development funding that can be used toward ACT programs. ACT and Brown SPS provide a customizable sample letter to help you start that conversation with your manager.
