Deferral and Cancellation Policy
Our Commitment
ACT Leadership is committed to supporting every participant in completing their coaching education. We understand that life circumstances change, and we've designed this policy to balance flexibility for participants with the operational realities of running ICF-accredited programs with limited cohort seats.
Program Deferrals
If you need to postpone your enrollment to a future cohort, a deferral may be an option. Here's what you need to know:
- Deferrals are permitted a maximum of two times per participant
- Your deferred enrollment must take place within one calendar year of your original program start date
- All deferrals are subject to availability in your requested cohort
- A deferral fee applies in all cases, whether your request is made before the program begins or after you have started
Deferral fees are based on the date ACT Leadership receives your written request:
The $150 administrative fee applies in all cases and is non-refundable. The variable fee component may be waived at ACT Leadership's discretion for documented extenuating circumstances, including medical emergencies, family emergencies, or a significant unforeseen change in employment. Deferral fees do not apply if ACT Leadership initiates a cohort change.
Program Cancellations
If you need to withdraw from the program entirely, the following refund schedule applies based on the date ACT Leadership receives your written cancellation request:
No refund or credit is issued for cancellations after the program start date.
Extenuating Circumstances
We recognize that some situations fall outside any policy framework. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, family crisis, or significant change in employment, please contact us before submitting a formal deferral request. We will review requests for variable fee consideration on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation.
