The Origin
About Erin and the origin of Embodied
Embodied was created by Erin Hutchins, ACT Co-founder and Master Coach, drawing on her background in coaching, movement, and trauma work.
The vision was simple, and personal. In today's world we operate almost entirely from the mind. We numb, scroll, overwork, and perform. We disconnect from the body that holds us and the spirit that drives us. We become fragmented.
Embodied is the path back. A way to realign mind, body, and spirit. A practice of returning to who you really are, underneath all the doing.
You don't need to be fixed. You need to be embodied

The Practice
A journey through the elements
Every Embodied gathering moves through a structured arc. Across the days, you'll work with the five classical elements, each one a different way of meeting yourself, then carry the work home.
Earth - Grounding
The foundation. Mindful stillness, breath, and presence in the body. Where the journey begins.
Air - Breath
The space between. Working with movement, energy, and our relationship to change.
Fire - Passion
You're looking for real change, whether that means healing emotional wounds, releasing stress, or finding inner balance.
Water - Flow
The release. Allowing movement, emotion, and energy to shift through you without holding.
Ether - Integration
The synthesis. Bringing it all into stillness, presence, and whole-body awareness.
Sustainment
The work continues. Practices and integration to carry the journey home beyond the retreat.

Spaces designed to bring you back
Where the work happens matters. Every Embodied venue is chosen for the same qualities. Quiet enough to hear yourself think. Beautiful enough to remember you exist in a body. Far enough from the noise of daily life that something in you can finally let go.
From the historic Athenaeum in Old Town Alexandria, to the Blue Ridge foothills at The Horse Shoe Farm, to the Val d'Orcia in Tuscany, every space is set up to support the work. Comfortable rooms. Nourishing food. Air that smells like outside. The slowness that lets the journey actually land.
Feel Alive and Well
There is no fixed path, no expectation of who you should be or what you should discover. Instead, you are invited into a deeper relationship with yourself.
In the busyness of life, it's easy to become disconnected from what you're feeling, needing, or longing for. This experience creates space to slow down, listen, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been waiting for your attention.
Through reflection, presence, and exploration, you begin to notice old patterns, uncover what is true for you now, and awaken to new possibilities for how you want to live, lead, and relate.
You arrive exactly as you are, with curiosity and a journal. You leave with a deeper awareness of yourself, a stronger connection to your inner wisdom, and a greater capacity to consciously choose the life you want to create.
This is not about becoming someone new. It's about coming alive to who you have been all along.
